Ivan Sproule: Leaves Ross County with immediate effect

The Dingwall club have agreed to terminate the Northern Irishman's contract after a request from the player himself.

A County statement read: "We have mutually agreed to terminate the contract of Ivan Sproule with immediate effect due to personal and family reasons and his desire to return to Northern Ireland.

"Ross County would like to warmly thank Ivan for his contribution to the club as a player and wish him and his family all the very best for the future."

He signed an 18-month deal in January and quickly won over the Jail End by scoring twice on his debut, in a 4-1 win over St Mirren.

Sproule, who moved to Hibernian as an amateur from Institute in 2005, made 11 appearances for County this season, scoring twice, but was sent off in his final appearance, the recent 2-1 defeat at St Mirren.

This is the problem, there is no winning mentality at the Emirates - we're all congratulating ourselves beating a team that we have a winning record against.

s this meant to be an aspiration for United supporters? Moyes mediocrity strikes again. I see the Bayern boys don't want to sign for him, and his reputation amongst the senior European coaches make other key signings unlikely.
