The prolific striker is approaching the end of his current contract after 14 months back in Scottish football.

The 30-year-old frontman has netted 19 times in all competitions this season, earning him a nomination for the SPFA Player of the Year award.

It has been suggested that former employers Rangers are keen on bringing a man who has spent time in England, Turkey and Canada since leaving Ibrox back to Glasgow in the summer.

Boyd, though, says he is yet to decide on his next move, with it still possible that he will agree an extended stay at Rugby Park.

He told the Daily Record: "There is no point in me saying I'm leaving or I'm staying because you never know what's going to happen in football.

"I could say to Kilmarnock fans I'm going to stay and the next thing you can't sort out a contract and you leave.

"Or you say you're going to leave and then you stay and you look like an idiot.

"I don't know what's going to happen and I'm not going to sit here and tell lies.

"I've not spoken with anyone, my representatives haven't spoken with anyone.

"I'll concentrate on my football between now and the end of the season and we will see what happens.

"If you're scoring goals, you are going to be linked with clubs.

"There have been rumours but you need to be asked. Someone needs to communicate with you.

"I have to focus on getting Kilmarnock out of this situation. I've learned over the past few years not to take anything for granted."
