Buffon argues with referee Sebastiano Peruzzo

Juventus general director Giuseppe Marotta believes his side were again the victims of a refereeing error in Sunday's goalless draw at home to Siena.

The Turin giants had strong appeals for a penalty after an apparent handball by Siena's Simone Vergassola turned down by match official Sebastiano Peruzzo five minutes from time.

Marotta feels Juve deserve more "respect".

"At times it is only right to make our voices heard so we can defend the club's rights," Marotta told Gazzetta dello Sport. "Juventus deserve respect.

"Everyone could see we were denied a clear-cut penalty, but unfortunately this habit has been dragging on for a while.

"We have only received one spot-kick all season.

"All we are asking for is respect for our team.

"It is natural that the Serie A leaders should be assigned a referee of international experience.

"Juve do not like to recriminate, but in some cases it becomes inevitable, especially when you are not allowed to put away potentially decisive points in a campaign."

The result in Turin meant that Antonio Conte's side missed out on the chance to extend their advantage on second-placed AC Milan.

Milan were also held to a goalless draw at home to Napoli yesterday and trail one-point behind Serie A leaders Juve, who have a game in hand.

t's a bit sad to see Bosingwa leaving after he finally seemed to show some defensive ability when moved to centre back against Barca, but at least we'll be forced to pick up some sort of right fullback as cover. His new haircut seemed to decrease the prominence of the monobrow too.
