Ibrahimovic: Could get three-game ban

Ibrahimovic: Could get three-game ban

AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani is confident his team's leading scorer Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be available to face Juventus.

The Sweden international was sent off during Sunday's goalless draw with Napoli after slapping Salvatore Aronica in an off-the-ball incident.

If the Lega Serie A consider Ibrahimovic's actions to be violent, the striker will be hit with a three-match ban.

Milan host Juventus on February 25 after league games at Udinese and Cesena.

"I am reading catastrophic opinions on this, but there was no violence," Galliani told Gazzetta dello Sport. "Therefore, I believe Ibrahimovic will not receive more than a two-match ban."

However, Galliani admits that Ibrahimovic's absence will hinder the Rossoneri. Ibrahimovic has scored 15 goals this season in Serie A.

"Two matches without Ibrahimovic is a lot considering there are two important away games, including the showdown at Udinese, who are third in the standings," he said.

Milan are second, one point behind Serie A leaders Juventus and three points clear of Udinese.

t's a bit sad to see Bosingwa leaving after he finally seemed to show some defensive ability when moved to centre back against Barca, but at least we'll be forced to pick up some sort of right fullback as cover. His new haircut seemed to decrease the prominence of the monobrow too.
