Dirk Kuyt: Linked with Roma switch

Dirk Kuyt's agent has moved to play down reports linking the Liverpool striker with a move to Roma.

The 31-year-old has been a bit-part player under Kenny Dalglish this term, starting just 19 games, and there are rumours his six-year association with the club could soon be over.

Roma have been linked with the Dutch striker and so have his former club Feyenoord in Holland, but the player's adviser insists he would ideally like to remain on Merseyside.

"He would prefer to stay at Liverpool," Rob Jansen told Algemeen Dagblad.

"If that is not possible there is a big possibility that he would decide to choose a new foreign adventure.

"If he did ever return to the Netherlands, then it would 100 per cent be for Feyenoord. I am going to Liverpool in the next 10 days to talk to them about Kuyt."

m starting to think Roman may never actually be happy at the top level. If he wants all conquering fancy football I wonder if he'd be better off buying a lower division side then paying outlandish salaries to attract high caliber players too good for the division.

afa has to be favourite for the Everton job now, surely :) He'll realise his ambition to live and work on Merseyside again, get the best out of whoever plays for them, maybe win some cups and be thoroughly loathed by the toffee fans. What's not to like? Go ead, Ken, gimajob!
