Giuseppe Sannino: Currently the manager of Siena

Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini has revealed that Giuseppe Sannino will manage his team next season.

Sannino, who is under contract with Siena for a further year, is reportedly set to discuss his future with his current club in the coming days.

"I will ask Sannino to create a team so that can open up a new era," Zamparini said to local newspaper Giornale di Sicilia.

"There will be no specific target, we could even finish in tenth place, but I want him to build a team that plays good football."

Sunday's 2-0 defeat at Genoa was Bortolo Mutti's last game in charge of Palermo.

Mutti endured a disappointing spell with Palermo, with the team finishing 16th in Serie A - two places and one point behind Siena.
