Philippe Coutinho: Injury blow

Inter Milan midfielder Philippe Coutinho will be out of action for at least a month after suffering a stress fracture to his leg in the club's Europa League match.

The Brazilian playmaker was withdrawn in the first half of the Nerazzurri's 1-0 victory over Partizan Belgrade, with medical tests confirming the extent of the injury.

A statement on inter.it said: "Following a collision with (Milos) Ostojic in the 30th minute of yesterday's encounter, Philippe Coutinho underwent tests which revealed a stress fracture to his tibia."

The 20-year-old, signed from Vasco De Gama in 2010, had been enjoying an extended run in the Beneamata first team given the absence of injured Holland international Wesley Sneijder.
