Cristobal Jorquera: Thigh strain

Cristobal Jorquera: Thigh strain

The Chile international lasted just nine minutes of the Grifone's 1-0 defeat at Siena on Sunday, and medical tests have now confirmed the extent of the damage.

A statement on genoacfc.it read: "The club can confirm that midfielder Cristobal Jorquera underwent a medical examination and a magnetic scan at the Baluardo Institute following the injury he suffered at Siena.

"The scan confirmed a second-grade lesion to his right thigh muscle."

Santiago-born Jorquera, who can also play as a second striker, signed a four-year contract with Genoa in 2011 after leaving hometown club Colo Colo.
