Antonio Cassano: Inter have appealed against his two-match ban

The Nerazzurri pair were issued with bans for their overzealous protests in the wake of Sunday's 2-2 home draw with Cagliari.

Cassano was given a two-match suspension for verbally abusing match officials, while Stramaccioni was handed a one-match touchline ban for questioning referee Piero Giacomelli's decision not to award Inter a late penalty.

A statement released on inter.it read: "Inter can announce that it has appealed against the penalties imposed on coach Andrea Stramaccioni and player Antonio Cassano."

The duo will miss Inter's trip to Parma on November 26, with Cassano also banned for Palermo's visit to the San Siro on December 2, unless the suspensions are overturned.
