Roma striker Mattia Destro will miss Sunday's trip to Chievo after injuring his leg during Tuesday night's Coppa Italia win.

The 21-year-old scored the final goal of a 3-0 victory over Atalanta at the Stadio Olimpico before limping off the pitch midway through the second half.

A statement on Roma's official Twitter feed read: "Medical tests undertaken at Trigoria show the forward has sustained bruising to his right thigh and left ankle."

The Italy international has scored five goals in 13 appearances for the Giallorossi, who currently occupy fifth place in the Serie A table, since joining from Siena this summer.
