The 23-year-old Montenegro international sustained the problem during Saturday's 2-1 Serie A loss at Cagliari.

A club statement today read: "ACF Fiorentina announces that diagnostic tests undergone by the player Stevan Jovetic showed an injury of the first degree of the thigh muscle. The prognosis is two weeks."

Jovetic, who has scored 12 goals in 24 league games this season for the fourth-placed Viola, will miss Sunday's clash with third-placed AC Milan and the following weekend's trip to Atalanta.
