The 33-year-old defender was carried off during Sunday's 2-0 defeat to Sassuolo.

Bellini underwent tests on Tuesday which showed a tendon detachment in his right thigh which will require at least four months of treatment.

The only consolation for Atalanta coach Stefano Colantuono is that tests done on defender Guglielmo Stendardo have ruled out any damage to his knee and he should be available to face unbeaten Roma on Sunday.

Atalanta have lost just once at home this season and are 10th in Serie A.

ah, Fergie is just having another pop at Rooney. He just wants to put him down whenever he gets a chance. Rooney is by far the best English player. Carrick is not far behind, mind. However, by elevating Carrick like that, Sir is having a dig at Wayne. Fergie is well-known for mind games like that. Good to see he's still feisty.
