The Spaniard joined the Owls on loan in November 2011 before making the move permanent the following January, with his contract expiring this summer.

But Llera will now remain at Hillsborough for at least another 12 months having proved to be an integral part of their squad last term.

The 33-year-old has made a total of 66 appearances for the Championship club to date, scoring an impressive 10 goals.
