The Lions are without a win, or a goal, to their name in the Sky Bet Championship so far this term.

Defender Beevers, who left Wednesday to move to south London last October, told the club website: "It's going to be a bit different from last season going back to Hillsborough and I've got to play the game, not the occasion.

"There will be 20-odd thousand people there and they need to get more points on the board just as we need to get some.

"We need to keep creating the chances and sooner or later one will drop for us, we will get a goal and more will follow.

"I don't think any of our performances have been particularly bad. It's just there for everyone to see that we have not put the ball in the back of the net.

"At Ipswich we conceded two own goals and one from a set-piece that was really sloppy and on Saturday against Huddersfield we created chances and just did not put the ball in the back of the net.

"If we were not creating chances it would be alarming, but we are, and once we score one a flurry will follow, I'm sure. If one goes in we will kick on from there."

resumably, you wanted to keep the version of Downing that was never seen at Anfield. The one that another manager has managed to re-create. The one you passed over.

he uber commercialisation of the 90s has led to the point where this overly familar, try hard, jolly hockey sticks type fronts up a major football match on a weekly basis. Unlike the great presenters of yesteryear, I doubt he would even recognise the scent of Brut.
