Gray's side were involved in a controversial goal-line incident for the second game running in the weekend win against Middlesbrough when the visitors were convinced midfielder Jacob Butterfield's first-half shot had crossed the line after hitting both posts.

Wednesday striker Atdhe Nuhui saw his header hit the inside of the post before being scooped back by Charlton goalkeeper Ben Hamer in last Monday's FA Cup fifth-round replay defeat.

"We are talking about controversial moments again and I'm sure we would benefit from goal-line technology filtering down from the Premier League into the Football League," said Gray.

"It looked very close from where we were in the technical area but unless the referee is sure he cannot give it.

"It's rather bizarre because we are talking about the same thing that happened on Monday night against Charlton.

"But until the technology comes into our league, we will continue to get these controversial moments."
