The 29-year-old's previous deal expired this summer but he has now committed his future to the Owls and linked up with Stuart Gray's squad for pre-season training.

Semedo initially moved to Hillsborough in 2011 from Charlton on a free transfer and signed a three-year contract.

He has made 107 appearances for Wednesday, although last season his campaign was cut short in February due to injury.

o is Jordan Ibe overqualified for this list or what? To be honest I was expecting to see his name, I thought he'd fit in perfectly. Maybe his name is too familiar? Because otherwise this list should be made for him. You could actually just insert his name & stats into the middle paragraph about Brandt and it would describe Ibe.
