The England Under-19s regular made only four Premier League appearances for the Saints on their return to the top flight.

But he insists despite his inexperience he should be featuring more than he has done so far.

"I am only 18 but I'm not content to be sat on the bench," Ward-Prowse told The Daily Star.

He is currently in Turkey with the England Under-20 squad for the upcoming World Cup.
