Adam Lallana: Has England claims backed by Alan Pardew

Lallana helped Southampton steal a point in Saturday's 1-1 Premier League draw at St James' Park.

And ex-Southampton boss Pardew was impressed enough with what he saw to urge England boss Roy Hodgson to find space for the 25-year-old next summer.

"He's a different sort of player to the other English boys they've got," Pardew told the Southern Daily Echo.

"He made a little difference when he came on for sure.

"He's definitely got a chance of going to the World Cup and he proved that to the Newcastle faithful in that second half."
