Its good to see the rhetoric getting silly not just here but in Spain too. We narrowly lost a close game that we could have won against a not untalented Italy side. Spain were thrashed by a talented but unexpectedly well playing Dutch side. Fact is, Spain weren't bad, but more that the Dutch just hit a sweet spot. Like when we beat the Germans. It happens. That said, pace has often been shown to be the Spanish weak spot (like organised defence is ours) so I can expect lightening to strike twice.

how many teams in this world cup have in-form, genuine out and out strikers..very few. F365 would struggle to compile a top 10 strikers in this WC list

"Perhaps it was one of those lunar eclipse style moments every six years when the Netherlands howl at the stars and reach football perfection, and any opponent would have been smeared across the windscreen of destiny." Very good!

There's little than annoys me more than the use of 'cup final' to describe a big match that is in absolutely no way a cup final. "We've got five cup finals between now and the end of the season" - no you don't, that makes no sense, stop being stupid.

I

think all those names linked to United exits make sense. Kagawa has never really looked like hitting the form he had at Dortmund and Fellaini is radioactive after last season (even though I think he's been unfairly singled out for criticism). Nani and Anderson have had more than their fair share of chances so they are done, and Hernandez deserves better than warming a bench.
