Considine: Wants Fyvie to stay

Fyvie's current contract at Aberdeen expires at the end of the year and manager Craig Brown expects the midfielder to move to English football.

Brown has suggested only an offer in the region of £5million would persuade the Dons to sell the 18-year-old in the summer as the club would be entitled to compensation once his deal runs out.

The midfielder's team-mate Considine, meanwhile, has called on Fyvie to spend a couple more seasons in the SPL before heading for a bigger stage.

"It's disappointing Fraser intends to leave as he's a big player for us," said Considine in the Daily Record.

"I don't blame him for wanting to play in England. Everyone wants to play there but I feel as if this club is going places.

"I feel it would be better for him to stay at Pittodrie. The facilities are good and there's a new stadium to be built.

"He can still move later. If he stayed two or three more years he'd still be in his early twenties.

"Chris Maguire hasn't played too many games for Derby since he left and he was a great player here.

"It's hard to cement a place down there and sometimes the grass isn't always greener."

t's a bit sad to see Bosingwa leaving after he finally seemed to show some defensive ability when moved to centre back against Barca, but at least we'll be forced to pick up some sort of right fullback as cover. His new haircut seemed to decrease the prominence of the monobrow too.
