Pulis disappointed by referee

Stoke boss Tony Pulis revealed his frustration at the decisions that he felt cost his side in their 1-0 defeat to Norwich at Carrow Road.

Pulis felt Charlie Adam was fouled in the build-up to Bradley Johnson's headed winner, and also attacked the decision to book his midfielder in the first half.

"It's very disappointing," said Pulis. "For the goal it is a free-kick on Charlie [Adam], and then down the other end their lad just falls over and is given a free-kick.

"There was a similar incident in the first half where Charlie is pushed in the back, and the referee has actually given them a free-kick and booked Charlie.

"It's very, very disappointing. Sometimes, because it is Stoke City, there is a perception about us. He has got decisions wrong."

On the subject of diving, Pulis feels that an alternative approach is needed, adding: "They have got to be careful. I am an advocate, but it should be retrospective on a Monday. It is difficult, we can see the problems it can cause.

"If we see on a Monday that there has been diving or cheating we can give them three, four or five games, but it's difficult to just pull one out of the bag because everyone is talking about it."

Stoke are now without a victory in their last 15 away league games, whilst Norwich have seven points from their last nine available.
