Reports continue to suggest that Begovic could soon be heading out of the Britannia Stadium after his impressive displays for the Potters.

Begovic, though, is reading little into the rumours, with the Bosnia international having grown accustomed to being the subject of transfer gossip.

He said in the Daily Star Sunday: "I don't pay too much heed. All I worry about is working hard here.

"I am settled here and I am enjoying the work I am doing on a daily basis.

"I have a huge amount of faith in what the manager is looking to achieve here."

Hughes is that manager, and the Potters boss has confirmed that he was among those looking to land Barcelona youngster Deulofeu on loan over the summer - only to see him head for Everton and tear his side to pieces during a 4-0 defeat at Goodison Park on Saturday.

The Welshman told The Sentinel: "We were aware of him and knew he was a talent.

"We made an inquiry ourselves. We brought in Marc Muniesa and were aware he was up for a loan deal as well, but unfortunately he came here (to Everton) and not to Stoke.

"He's a very talented boy and I'm sure he will only be a loan deal and Barcelona will keep hold of that asset."

hould have stayed because we carried him for 6.5 years. And then he has a breakthrough season, and was gone soon after. MU fans, you would be as disgusted had C Ronaldo left in 2007 and not 2009.

ood grief. Someone guessed that the form English player at the moment might be in his national side with some other players? And that's espionage? Now if they discovered that Emile Heskey was going to be in the starting line up.... at right back.... THAT would be espionage. Give it a rest Roy.
