Ian Brown recently brought Manchester to a standstill filming the video for new single Stellify, which is released 21 September on Fiction Records and the former Roses legend wants to show you F365ers what happened first-hand.
You can watch the new video in its entirety here right now - look right - and see photos from Ian's Manchester video shoot .
The former Roses mainman has also been busy setting up his own Fantasy Football League. You can also now challenge Team Ian Brown by registering for free at ianbrown.co.uk and the top manager each month will win Ian Brown prizes (gig tickets, signed albums, merch, etc), with the overall season winner being awarded an exclusive Ian Brown Presentation Disc!
Stellify is followed a week later by Mr Brown's sixth studio album, My Way, which will debut almost two years to the day after his last long player, The World Is Yours. Where that record was led by the anti-war single Illegal Attacks, My Way sees Brown moving from social commentary to the personal, drawing deep from his own experiences to create his most intensely emotional record in years.
The bulk of the 12 tracks were co-written with long time collaborator Dave McCracken at Battery Studios, where Brown and the Stone Roses recorded their seminal debut 20 years before. He bumped into that album's producer, John Leckie, in the studio corridors for the first time in two decades and it proved the catalyst for another landmark record, but this time one that spans the length and breadth of Brown's extraordinary life.
If you can't wait until September 21st, the Stellify EP is available to download from iTunes right now. Alongside being able to own four new album tracks, including Stellify, the EP gives fans access to an exclusive 48-hour pre-sale on tickets for Ian Brown's Winter Tour, the dates of which will be announced shortly.
Ian Brown has been confirmed as a very special guest on the main stage at the 2009 Reading and Leeds festivals - Leeds on Friday 28th and Reading on Saturday 29th. You can also see the main man warm up for these shows at Wolverhampton's lovely Wulfren Hall (25th) and Oxford's O2 Academy (26th).
Stellify EP is available on iTunes now and as a traditional single 21 September 2009 on Fiction; My Way follows 28 September.
