Coach Michael Laudrup could leave Getafe for Sevilla, according to agent Bayram Tutumlu.
Laudrup has turned Getafe's fortunes around since taking the reins in 2007, leading the Spanish minnows to the quarter-finals of the UEFA Cup and the final of the Copa del Rey.
But Tutumlu claims the Danish coach feels the time is right for him to move and he has already informed club president Angel Torres of his decision.
"Laudrup's cycle at the club has ended," Tutumlu told Globo FM. "It has already been a month since he told Torres to look for a new coach for next season."
Getafe have had modest success in the league this term - they lie 13th with one round of matches remaining but have enjoyed victories over Barcelona and Primera Liga champions Real Madrid.
But it is in cup competition they have excelled with Laudrup's attacking style sweeping past Tottenham, Anderlecht, AEK Athens and Benfica.
The club came within five minutes of progressing to the semi-final, but two late goals saw German giants Bayern Munich go through on away goals after a 4-4 aggregate score.
However, Laudrup feels that, given the right circumstances he could have done better.
"He is not content with the balance of the season," added Tutumlu. "It could have been much better.
"Michael is a very great coach and he can't be happy with that.
"If you're winning 3-1 at Bayern with a few minutes remaining, you can't lose the knockout tie.
"The Getafe goalkeepers, who are great, shouldn't be blamed but they failed in decisive moments.
"Apart from that, if Michael had strikers who scored goals Getafe now would be in the Champions League or UEFA Cup."
Tutumlu lays the blame for Getafe's failure to do even better this year mainly on their frontline who have lacked potency since Daniel Guiza's summer return to Real Mallorca, where he is now leading the Primera Liga goalscoring charts.
"The five strikers between them haven't scored as many goals as Guiza," he continued. "That was very bad sporting management.
"Angel is a friend but he can also fail.
"I'm not happy that we lost to Bayern. It could have been the best season for the next 100 years.
"It's not that Getafe will remain small. Angel let him work, with his defects and his virtues, but Laudrup's cycle at Getafe has ended."
Laudrup played in Spain for seven years, winning four consecutive Primera Liga titles with Barcelona followed by another with Real Madrid and would love to continue working there.
The 43-year-old was heavily linked to the Barca job, before another former Nou Camp hero - Josep Guardiola - was elected to replace Frank Rijkaard at the end of the season.
Tutumlu insists there is no shortage of opportunities for Laudrup but believes the former Brondby coach will opt to take over the reins at Sevilla.
"Spain is like a second home, his family are very happy here," he said.
"If he stays it will have to be a team big enough for Michael. Sevilla is and why not?
"There are many countries interested. Galatasaray is crazy for him. They're calling me from Portugal, Russia and England.
"He'll make the decision after talking to the president but it would really surprise me if he stayed.
"Here he's not going to do more than he's done, after the disappointment of Bayern.
"I don't think they'd have the same reaction next year.
"He has told me since last month not to tell him about offers until they were safe from relegation.
"Now I have told them all to him. We didn't want to rush things."
