Former Besiktas coach Jean Tigana insists he has not been approached to replace Paul Le Guen at Paris St Germain next season.
Le Guen is reportedly on the verge of leaving the club after a torrid season in which PSG escaped relegation only on the last day of the campaign.
The departure of club president Alain Ceyzac in April has also led to heightened speculation that the former Rangers boss will leave the Parc des Princes in the summer.
But Tigana, who also had a spell in charge of Fulham, claims he has not been contacted in connection with the job.
He told French newspaper L'Equipe: "It's a simple rumour.
"As soon as a coach leaves somewhere my name is banded about as his replacement.
"There's no point talking about something that doesn't exist. The day where there is something, everyone will know about it."
Tigana, who has been out of coaching since leaving Turkish side Besiktas in May last year, admitted however that he has had offers to return to football.
"Offers? I've had dozens of them," he added. "But then after that it all comes down to life decisions."
Paris St Germain ended the Ligue 1 campaign in 16th place, three points above relegation.
They will play their second cup final of the season on Saturday when they take on Lyon in the Coupe de France, after having already won this year's Coupe de la Ligue in March.
