Inter Milan manager Jose Mourinho has hinted that he is unlikely to join the race to sign Zenit St Petersburg forward Andrei Arshavin.
Arshavin's impressive displays for Russia at Euro 2008 has reportedly caught the eye of a number of top European clubs, sparking a potential bidding war for his services this summer.
Mourinho, though, doubts whether the 27-year-old can perform regularly at the highest level after he failed to recapture his previous promise when it came to the crunch against Spain in the semi-finals of the European Championship.
"Arshavin is a fine player. But is he mature enough to play in the strongest leagues?" Mourinho said in the Daily Mail.
"At the Euros he showed a lot of inspiration against Sweden and Holland. But he looked like he was absolutely switched off in the next match against Spain.
"At Inter we are looking for players who are capable of playing to the highest of standards not for two to five games in a row, but the entire season."
