Chelsea have ended their interest in Andrei Arshavin, according to the Russian's agent.
Roman Abramovich was thought to be keen to bring the Zenit St Petersburg playmaker to Stamford Bridge after some impressive performances in the UEFA Cup and Euro 2008.
However Dennis Lachter, Arshavin's agent, believes this is no longer the case.
"I do not believe that after this acquisition of Deco the club have retained their interest in Arshavin," said Lachter told Russian paper Sovetsky Sport.
"Zenit want to get at least €30 million (£23.8 million), and foreign clubs offer no more than €20 million (£15.8 million).
"The situation is not at an impasse though. The transfer period only ends on August 31 and clubs are only just beginning to be proactive in the transfer market."
Lachter went on to claim Arshavin's next move could hinge on assorted other transfer sagas progressing across Europe:
"Several potential buyers are involved as clubs sell their players. Arshavin's future may be dependent on conversations about [Alexander] Hleb, [Emmanuel] Adebayor, Cristiano Ronaldo and others."
