Bordeaux ran riot at the Stade de France to thrash Ligue 2 side Vannes OC 4-0 and claim their third Coupe de la Ligue crown in emphatic style.
In what amounted to the heaviest defeat in a final in the competition's 15-year history, Les Girondins scored all four of their goals in the first half, through Wendel, Marc Planus, Yoan Gouffran and Yoann Gourcuff.
It was men-against-boys stuff in a one-sided showpiece, with Bordeaux displaying the kind of form that could see them complete a league-and-cup double come the end of the season.

Worse was to follow for Vannes three minutes later, Gourcuff whipping in a free-kick and Gouffran getting in front of Revel to glance home.
Often late in the tackle and slack in possession, the occasion got to Vannes and they were taught a lesson in a first half that passed by after those opening goals without major incident until Gourcuff struck in the 39th minute.
Some great interplay between Marouane Chamakh, Gouffran and Gourcuff ended with the latter stroking home the finish, with the aid of a deflection, into the bottom corner from 20 yards.
Vannes improved in the second half, and even put together some good attacking moves, but the damage had been done by then.
They still needed Revel to produce a couple of smart saves to deny substitutes Pierre Ducasse and David Bellion as Bordeaux threatened to add more goals.
