New Ipswich boss Roy Keane has snapped up Republic Of Ireland defender Damien Delaney from QPR.
The 27-year-old has signed a two-year contract for an undisclosed fee, believed to be in the region of £750,000 with a further £250,000 if Ipswich make the play-offs at the end of the season.
Delaney was paraded at Portman Road and is expected to join up with his new team-mates for training on Friday.
In other news, midfielder Liam Trotter has signed a new one-year contract, so fending off any interest from Scunthorpe, where the 20-year old had spent time on loan last season.
Keane has also boosted his squad further with the acquisition of central defender Troy Brown from Fulham.
The teenager had impressed while on trial recently.
