1700: A quick round-up of the SPL action. Celtic won 3-0 in the end and are three points clear of Hibs, who climb to second with their 2-0 win over Aberdeen. There were also wins for St Johnstone, Motherwell and Hamilton.

1658: The final Premier League game is over - Portsmouth have an excellent 4-0 win over Wigan with Dindane netting a hat-trick. In the Championship, West Brom are top after crushing Watford 5-0.

1657: All over at Sunderland where it's finished 2-2. West Ham will be sick having led 2-0. It's also finished 2-2 at Stoke where Wolves also hit back from two down.

1656: Liam Miller wraps up the points for Hibs - 2-0 they lead Aberdeen. Colchester have lost to a late goal at Millwall. James Henry sends Aidy Boothroyd to his first defeat as U's boss.

1655: Brown applauds the Hull fans as he walks off at Turf Moor - for the last time perhaps. Leaders Chelsea have won again - 4-0 at Bolton.

1654: Everton and Villa have drawn 1-1, while Burnley's good home form continues - they've beaten Hull 2-0.

1653: Dindane completes his hat-trick for Pompey and they are 4-0 up on Wigan. A penalty that one. And Ipswich have won at last - 1-0 against Derby.

1652: Chelsea make it 4-0 with a composed finish from Drogba. Liverpool have lost 3-1 at Fulham. Benitez looks furious. Billy Sharp levels for Doncaster in the last minute against Blackpool. 3-3.

1651: Bent goes close for Sunderland as both teams press for a winner there. 2-2 remember. it's also end to end at Goodison where it remains 1-1.

1650: Colin Nish strikes for Hibs to give them a late 1-0 lead against nine-man Aberdeen. Norwich go 3-1 up at Stockport and look set to win.

1649: Red card again! A new record for a single day in the top flight I'm told. This one sees Radoslav Kovac sent off for West Ham at Sunderland.

1648: Carlos Cuellar brings down Yakubu. Again that looks harsh. 10 v 10 there.

1647: Carlisle look to have beaten Charlton now. It's 3-1 after Kavanagh's second.

1646: Bilyaletdinov is sent off. He's high on the ankle of Petrov and it's a straight red. 1-1 in that game.

1645: Clint Dempsey finishes off Liverpool. 3-1. Fulham pick the nine men apart with a series of passes and the American beats Reina.

1644: Leeds now four up - Tresor Kandol - while Stockport have one back against Norwich. 2-1 there.

1643: Another goal for Chelsea - an own goal from Zat Knight as Ivanovic threatens behind him. 3-0 and a win for the leaders.

1642: Adam Johnson sends a penalty wide and Boro still trail 1-0 at home to Plymouth.

1641: Zamora has the ball in the net again at the Cottage, but it's deemed offside.

1640: Carrgaher is off now and Liverpool are down to 10! Zamora is tugged back by the Reds' defender and it's deemed a professional foul. Remember Fulham lead 2-1. In League One, Leeds are cruising. It's 3-0 now after a goal from Jermaine Beckford.

1639: Sunderland's 10 men are level at home to West Ham. It's 2-2 and they've come from two down. Kieran Richardson nets from close range after the ball had looped over keeper Green. Ben Burgess puts Blackpool 3-2 up at Doncaster.

1638: Alexander kills off Hull at Turf Moor with his second of the day. Big problems for the Tigers and Phil Brown.

1637: Philipp Degen is off now and it's gone badly wrong for Liverpool. It's a late tackle but a yellow would have been fair.

1636: Liverpool trail 2-1 at Fulham but both Torres and Benayoun have been taken off. More questions over Rafa there later perhaps.

1635: Celtic look home and hosed. Niall McGinn puts them 3-0 up against Killie. In the Championship, it's now 3-1 to Reading at Coventry. Gzregorz Rasiak has his second of the game.

1634: Wednesday level at Bristol City through Luke Varney.

1633: Giovanni is sent off for a second yellow card for Hull who trail 1-0 at Burnley. Rochdale now lead 4-0, while it's 5-0 for West Brom against Watford.

1632: Big goal at Fulham and Erik Nevland puts Fulham 2-1 up on Liverpool. A cross from the left is headed back across goal by Gera and the former Manchester United man nets from close range.

1631: Not a good day for League Two leaders Bournemouth - Simon Whalley has just put Rochdale 3-0 up at Dean Court.

1630: Wes Hoolahan's penalty has put Norwich 2-0 at Stockport, while it's 2-0 for leaders Leeds in League One. Max Gradel scores the second.

1629: Dindane makes it 3-0 for Pompey against Wigan - the points look safe. Not the same story at Stoke where Wolves are level from two down. Craddock nets again - he had not scored for five years in the top flight. Now he has two in a few minutes!

1628: St Johnstone now lead 3-1 against Falkirk. Carlisle lead Charlton 2-1 in League One after Graham Kavangh's goal, while Millwall have levelled against Colchester 1-1. West Brom make it 4-0 against Watford. Goals galore!

1627: Hull's Giovanni curls in a superb free kick into the top corner at Turf Moor but it's disallowed for some reason. I have no idea why. It should be 1-1 but it remains 1-0 to Burnley.

1626: Jamie Mackie puts Plymouth 1-0 up at Middlesbrough. Gordon Strachan will not be happy.

1625: Ipswich lead Derby! A following move is finished off by David Wright. 1-0 at Portman Road. Will they finally win at the 15th attempt?

1624: Rochdale now lead 2-0 at Bournemouth in today's big League Two game. Chris O'Grady on target. In the SPL, St Johnstone are back in front against Falkirk thanks to Chris Millar.

1623: Doncaster have been pegged back to 2-2 by Blackpool after Jay Emmanuel-Thomas' fine strike.

1622: Chelsea break and finish off Bolton. Anelka surges forward, feeds Deco who cuts inside with a good piece of skill and slots the ball home. 2-0.

1621: Aberdeen are now down to nine men against Hibs. Still 0-0 though.

1620: Now it's Nicolas Anelka this time who is denied by Jaaskelainen. At Goodison, Stiliyan Petrov's shot deflects over the bar as Villa push.

1619: Lampard is so close to killing off Bolton. His shot rattles the underside of the bar. Meanwhile, Fulham appeal for a penalty against Jamie Carragher but the ref waves play on.

1618: Zoltan Gera's shot on the turn is straight at Pepe Reina. Still 1-1 in that game. Bristol City are 1-0 up on Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship.

1617: Drogba is denied by Jaaskelainen at Bolton. Good save.

1616: Reading are now 2-0 up at Coventry. Jobi McAnuff has the goal and the Royals look set for a rare win.

1615: Bolton also have only 10 men but they are fighting hard and causing Chelsea problems. The visitors still lead 1-0.

1614: It's end-to-end stuff at Goodison where both Everton and Villa are committed to attack. 1-1 there.

1613: SPL goal at Motherwell and Ross Forbes has the hosts 1-0 up on Hearts,

1612: Deco drills wide at Bolton, while at Sunderland the 10-man hosts are really pushing for an equaliser. Darren Bent miscues a shot when in a great position. They still trail West Ham 2-1.

1611: It's not a good time for Watford and they are now 3-0 down at West Brom. Luke Moore has Albion's third.

1610: Rob Green produces a superb save to deny Michael Turner at Sunderland. That keeps his side in a 2-1 lead.

1609: Jody Craddock nets to give Wolves hope at Stoke. They reduce the deficit to 2-1. In the SPL, Falkirk level at St Johnstone. It's 1-1 thanks to Carl Finnigan.

1608: Drogba is denied by a good save from Jaaskelainen at Bolton where the visitors still lead 1-0.

1607: Doncaster now lead Blackpool 2-1 in the Championship - Billy Sharp nets for the hosts.

1605: Goal for Villa and it's quickly 1-1 at Everton, sub John Carew turns the ball home after Tim Howard had initially kept out Gabriel Agbonlahor's strike.

1601: Second halves are beginning to get under way - stay logged on for all the goal action!

1559: In the Championship, West Brom are making waves at the moment. They are 2-0 up on Watford and as things stand they are going top of the table. Ipswich, still winless, are goalless against Derby.

1557: In the SPL, Celtic lead 2-0 against Kilmarnock so look set to stretch their lead to four points. Rangers play tomorrow.Third-placed Hibs are 0-0 at home to Aberdeen. Basement boys Falkirk trail again - 1-0 at St Johnstone.

1555: One goal we missed in that action-packed few moments was an equaliser for Charlton at Carlisle in League One.

1554: Blimey. There were a lot of late goals in the first halves there! A quick Premier League recap. Leaders Chelsea are 1-0 up at 10-man Bolton, but Liverpool are being held 1-1 at Fulham. Villa are 1-0 down at Everton. At the bottom, Pompey lead 2-0 against Wigan, but Hull trail 1-0 at Burnley. Sunderland are 2-1 down at home to West Ham and are now down to 10 men. In the other game, Stoke are 2-0 up on Wolves.

1550: More good news for lowly Pompey. Just before the break Frederic Piquionne sends the ball through Chris Kirkland's legs to make it 2-0 against Wigan.

1549: Goal for Chelsea right on the stroke of half time. Jloyd Samuel brings down Drogba as he goes through. It's a penalty and a red card. Frank Lampard slots home the spot kick. 1-0. Elswehere, Chris Dagnell puts Rochdale 1-0 up at League Two leaders Bournemouth.

1548: Kenwyne Jones is off at Sunderland. He's pushed Heita Ilunga in the face. Big problems for the hosts who trail 2-1 with their 10 men.

1547: Goal for Everton! Tim Cahill's cross from the right falls to Diniyar Bilyaletdinov and he strokes past Friedel. Meanwhile, Stoke double their advantage with Matt Etherington on target.

1546: Carlisle lead against Charlton at the top of League One - Ian Harte has done his old side Leeds a favour with the goal. At Burnley, Chris Eagles is denied by Matt Duke and it remains 1-0.

1545: League One leaders Leeds are in front at home to Yeovil through Bradley Johnson, while Hamiltpn are now 2-0 up on St Mirren after Martin Canning's goal.

1544: Liverpool are level and it's that man Torres. His low volley from 20 yards beats Mark Schwarzer all ends up. 1-1 at the Cottage.

1543: Jon Macken gives Barnsley the lead at Peterborough. they've come from behind to lead 2-1.

1542: Liverpool aren't creating a great deal against Fulham since falling behind. The hosts still lead 1-0.

1541: Sunderland fight back against West Ham, Andy Reid netting with a fine free kick. The Hammers still lead 2-1, but it's good news for home fans.

1540: Preston's lead did not last long - Darren Ambrose replies with an equaliser for Palace.

1539: Dagenham, second in League Two, are behind at home to Port Vale - Louis Dodds the scorer.

1538: Preston take the lead against Palace through Ross Wallace. So far so good for the Scots in the Championship today!

1537: Pompey lead Wigan. Michael Brown passes to Aruna Dindane and he finally finds the target after a spate of recent misses. 1-0.

1536: West Ham make it 2-0. Collison drives forward and feeds Cole who powers on and produces a fine finish.

1535: Craig Beattie has Swansea in front at Sunthorpe in the Championship.

1534: A good stop from Craig Gordon keeps out a Carlton Cole effort at the Stadium of Light. West Ham still lead 1-0 though.

1533: Almost a goal for Villa but Stephen Warnock's shot is just wide of the far post.

1532: Kevin Davies fires a shot just wide of Petr Cech's goal for Bolton. It's still 0-0 though.

1530: A bullet header from Gerogios Samaras doubles Celtic's lead at Parkhead. At Bolton, Chelsea score - but it's disallowed. Ivanovic lashes the ball in but the flag goes up for offside. One of his team-mates has been adjudged to be blocking the keeper's view. Harsh that.

1529: West Ham lead at Sunderland. Jack Collison races clear before pulling the ball back for Guillermo Franco to slot home.

1528: Yakubu's header flies just past the angle at Goodison. Down the road at Bolton, Paulo Ferreira's teasing ball in runs right across goal and just wide of the far post. Still goalless in both games.

1527: Barnsley hit back straight away. Daniel Bogdanovic heads in the equaliser.

1526: Lowly Peterborough lead 1-0 against fellow strugglers Barnsley in their Championship clash after George Boyd's penalty.

1524: Bobby Zamora scores against the run of play at the Cottage to add to Liverpool's recent problems. He taps in from Damien Duff's pass. Liverpool may think he was offside but it's given. 1-0 Fulham.

1523: Chelsea are starting to get on top at Bolton but it's still 0-0. Didider Drogba has just been denied by Jaasekelainen. At Fulham, Liverpool are also bossing the game and Benayoun has just cracked the bar with a shot following a dangerous cross.

1522: Graham Dorrans nets from the spot too to double West Brom's lead against Watford. 2-0.

1521: Goal at Burnley and bad news for underfire Hull boss Phil Brown. Graham Alexander is so reliable from the spot and he strokes home after a foul in the box.

1520: Colchester, going so well in League One, take the lead at Millwall after Anthony Wordsworth's free kick is deflected in.

1519: First Premier League goal of the afternoon's games. Stoke have it with James Beattie sweeping home after an end-to-end move from the hosts. Stoke 1 Wolves 0.

1518: West Ham midfielder Valon Behrami's shot is well saved at Sunderland. Still goalless there too.

1517: Goal for Norwich in League One at Stockport - Grant Holt nets. The Canaries are currently fifth in that division.

1516: Jussi Jaaskelainen tips the ball over the bar at the Reebok after Chelsea's set piece sets the ball loop off a group of leaping players. Still 0-0 there.

1515: Free kick to Liverpool on the edge of the Fulham box after a foul on Torres. Yossi Benayoun's effort is deflected off the wall, however.

1514: Marouane Felliani hits a rasping shot at Goodison but it's straight at the Villa keeper, Brad Friedel.

1513: Goal for Celtic in the SPL. They have a poor home record this term but winger Aiden McGeady has just put them 1-0 up on Kilmarnock.

1512: Ivanovic gets to the byline for Chelsea and cuts the ball back. However, a Bolton boot gets the ball first to clear. Decent move from the Blues though.

1510: A couple of early chances to report for Portsmouth at home to Wigan. However, despite their good start Pompey remain level with the Latics.

1509: West Brom go 1-0 up on Watford in the Championship. Defender Jonas Olsson heads in for the Baggies. they could go top today.

1508: Sunderland have started well against West Ham at the Stadium of Light, but it remains goalless. Everton have also begun on the front foot against Villa at Goodison.

1507: Liverpool threaten again with a free kick on the left. The ball pings around the area before Fulham clear. A good start from the Reds.

1506: St Mirren fall behind at home to Hamilton. Marco Paixao has the early goal.

1505: Early chance for Bolton against Chelsea but Johan Elmander heads over when left alone.

1504: In the SPL we have a goal - St Johnstone one up on bottom club Falkirk thanks to Colin Samuel.

1503: Liverpool threaten with a good ball into the box from the right but Fulham defend it well.

1500: Games are getting under way around the country - unusually there are seven 1500 kick-offs today in the Premier League.

1455: Burnley keeper Brian Jensen passed a late fitness test and takes his place in goal for Burnley against Hull, who have Matt Duke deputising for the injured Boaz Myhill.

1454: David James, Jamie O'Hara, Kevin-Prince Boateng, Steve Finnan and Tal Ben Haim all return to the Portsmouth team today, while Scott Sinclair starts for Wigan.

1453: Thomas Sorensen is back in the Stoke goal this afternoon against Wolves, who have Chris Iwelumo starting up front for the first time this season.

1453: Darren Bent returns for Sunderland against West Ham, who are without the suspended Scott Parker.

1452: Everton make three changes against Villa with Leighton Baines, Joseph Yobo and Diniyar Bilyaletdinov all back in the starting line-up. Emile Heskey retains his starting spot.

1451: Liverpool are still without Steven Gerrard and Glen Johnson at Fulham, while Andriy Voronin gets a rare start. Bobby Zamora and Clint Dempsey start up front for the home side.

1450: Team news coming in now. Bolton bring back Jussi Jaaskelainen and Kevin Davis against Chelsea, who have Joe Cole and Juliano Belletti back on the bench.

1440: It's been all over for quite some time now at the Emirates, but the final whistle has now blown to give Arsenal a comfortable 3-0 win. Spurs were decent for the first half-hour but were truly shocking from the moment Arsenal went ahead.

1406: Oh dear. More utterly comical defending from Spurs allows van Persie to extend Arsenal's lead. The defenders completely stop after a foul on Eduardo, but the ref plays advantage. The ball is eventually crossed low into the penalty area and a complete mix-up between Ledley King and Heurelho Gomes gives van Persie a simple tap-in. Surely the points are safe now.

1333: Spurs manage not to do anything else unfeasibly stupid and get back to the dressing room for a dressing down...

1327: Astonishing. Straight from the kick-off, Wilson Palacios gifts the ball to Cesc Fabregas who dances through the stunned Spurs defence before firing the ball into the bottom corner from 18 yards. Spurs pay for a shocking lapse of concentration and need a repeat of last year's heroics to get back in the game now. Surely Arsenal won't throw away another two-goal lead.

1326: Spurs had been doing a good job of frustrating Arsenal, but that good work is undone less than five minutes before the break as Robin van Persie gets in front of Ledley King to turn home Gael Clichy's cross from the right.

1245: A busy day of football is under way with the north London derby at the Emirates.
