John Hughes left the Bairns in the summer and is keen to halt his former side's revival after their draw with Celtic and first league win of the season over Hamilton. Hughes makes three changes, one enforced, with Kevin McBride failing to recover from an ankle injury and John Rankin comes in. Lewis Stevenson and Abdessalam Benjelloun also drop to the bench from the side that drew at St Mirren, with Merouane Zemmama and Colin Nish restored. Falkirk are unchanged from the success against Accies after new signing Toufik Zerara, the French midfielder, failed to receive international clearance in time. Alex MacDonald returns from a groin injury to be named among the substitutes.

Full-back Trent McClenahan drops down to the bench and is replaced by fellow defender David Elebert.
