Blackpool manager Simon Grayson bemoaned Freddy Eastwood's knack of scoring against his team after the Coventry striker earned the visitors a point in the 1-1 draw.
The £1.2million striker, who cost more than the entire Blackpool side, met a deep cross, turned and somehow beat goalkeeper Paul Rachubka from an acute angle at the near post in the 69th minute.
That goal cancelled out Ben Burgess' opener 11 minutes earlier.
"Freddy Eastwood seems to like Blackpool. He scored against us for Southend, for Wolves, and now for Coventry," said Grayson, who felt neither side did enough to win.
"I think the draw was about right. It was a fair reflection of the game. We could not get much tempo going in the first half but we had them on the run for 25 minutes in the second period.
"I think that we would have got the victory had Ben Burgess' header gone in but Coventry are a good side and they came back at us strongly."
The header Grayson was referring to came six minutes after the striker had put his side ahead but unfortunately for the hosts his effort hit the crossbar and rebounded to safety.
Had that gone in the Seasiders would probably have been safe but Coventry hit back moments later and the match finished in a draw.
Coventry were the better side for long periods and almost went ahead after just 30 seconds when Aron Gunnarsson was inches wide with a 30-yard strike.
The visitors played some good flowing football whereas Blackpool were content to pump high balls to the head of Burgess, who rarely got a look-in thanks to the excellent defending of Scott Dann.
Coventry goalkeeper Kieren Westwood did not have a shot to save in the first half with only Blackpool's Gary Taylor-Fletcher providing any sort of threat.
The second half really livened up with Blackpool defending frantically at times and it took a series of heroic blocks to keep Coventry out.
But the deadlock was finally broken after 56 minutes with Burgess starting and finishing the move.
The striker cleared a corner from his own penalty area and the ball fell to Taylor-Fletcher.
He produced a mazy run before finding the on-rushing Burgess at his shoulder and big striker curled home from 18 yards.
Burgess then headed against the woodwork before Coventry benefited from manager Chris Coleman's gamble to throw on extra strikers when Eastwood scored the equaliser.
"When we came here last season we were thrashed 4-0. It is not an easy ground to come to but I think we bossed the first half," said Coleman.
"What we are not doing is getting any luck in front of goal. Blackpool got bodies in the way when it counted and the ball did not fall for us at all.
"Blackpool work hard - you have to if you are going to beat Birmingham at St Andrews - that's why I'm more than happy with today's outcome."
