Sheffield Wednesday defender Tommy Spurr has vowed to do all he can to return ahead of schedule after suffering ankle-ligament damage.
Spurr is the latest defender to head for the treatment room at Hillsborough after being forced off late on at Plymouth last week.
Spurr told the club's official website: "I knocked the ball past the defender and planted my foot and my ankle just rolled under his challenge."
The 21-year-old added: "It could be around four weeks, I don't know if it will be that long. I'm hoping it will be less.
"In my head I'll be back quicker. We'll just have to wait and see. On the positive side, I won't miss a game this week because of the international break, so at least it didn't happen right in the middle of a busy period."
