Ipswich Town manager Jim Magilton has admitted his patience with goalkeeper Richard Wright is wearing thin.
The former England stopper has made a series of costly errors since arriving at Portman Road in the summer for a second spell with Town, culminating in Magilton questioning Wright's positioning for Charlton's opening goal in the 2-1 defeat at the Valley last Saturday.
Magilton, who signed Wright for an undisclosed fee on a three-year deal, has warned the former West Ham and Arsenal goalkeeper that Shane Supple - who has already featured in this season's Carling Cup - is on standby should his poor form continue.
"Shane is very close to playing because Richard has been indifferent," he told the Evening Star. "Shane has been putting pressure on and that is exactly what you want at any football club.
"Goalkeepers unfortunately are judged like everyone else on performances and can't expect not to be put under the microscope."
