Japan midfielder Daisuke Matsui has joined Grenoble on a three-year deal, the French club have confirmed.
The 28-year-old moves from fellow Ligue 1 side St Etienne, for whom he scored one goal in 22 appearances last season.
A statement on the Grenoble website confirmed the deal, stating: "Daisuke Matsui has committed for three seasons with the GF38."
Matsui, capped 17 times by his country, began his career with Kyoto Purple Sanga before moving to France to join Le Mans in 2004.
Matsui will join compatriot Sho Ito at Grenoble, which is owned by Japanese company Index Holdings.
