The fall-out of Paris St Germain and Marseille's match last weekend continues to spread and nowhere are the effects being felt more keenly than in Montbeliard.
Because the original fixture, shelved because of swine flu, has been rearranged for November 20, Sochaux's game at Marseille and Boulogne's match against PSG, initially scheduled for that weekend, have been shifted back to December 2.
That means Sochaux, following on from last week's home win against Lorient, will now play just three games in November, all at home and including a three-week gap, before embarking on three consecutive away fixtures at the start of December.
Coach Francis Gillot believes his side are being treated like poor relations, having not been consulted about the changes.
"In this story, everybody's laughing at Boulogne and Sochaux," he told L'Equipe.
He added in La Parisien: "Someone has to explain why OM-PSG is not played on December 2 instead.
"We and Boulogne are considered small.
"I know that we are taken for farmers. But we understand what's going on, we're not as stupid as we look.
"In November, we will not play for three weeks, it's insane! But our opinion does not count."
As fate would have it, the second of four consecutive home games for Sochaux is against PSG on Sunday.
Mevlut Erding should return from a shoulder injury for PSG and it will be a special day for him having joined from Sochaux in the summer.
He told www.psg.fr: "I was trained at Sochaux, I played nine seasons and I learned everything there.
"I will also make my return after two months of absence and it is also special.
"I'm going to want to do well especially in this time when we are not at the top."
PSG are 13th in Ligue 1, two points and three places behind their opponents tomorrow, who are on a run of three straight wins.
