Arminia Bielefeld defender Thorben Marx has vowed that his side will end their away drought when they travel to Bochum on Sunday.
Bielefeld have not celebrated a win on the road since beating Wolfsburg 3-1 on opening day last season - some 398 days ago.
"We won't break the 400-day mark," Marx told Bild newspaper.
Marx's promise does not seem so unreasonable given they will come up against a Bochum side that has not won on home soil for seven months.
"It feels like a year," Bochum defender Marcel Maltritz said during the week. "We need to put an end to that."
Both sides are also without a win from three games played so far this season to further pile on the pressure.
Bochum coach Marcel Koller will, however, be content in the knowledge he will be able to select from a near full-strength side with Vahid Hashemian and Stanislav Sestak recovered from their injury concerns.
Only the suspended Christian Fuchs and long-term absentees Joel Epalle and Rene Renno will be missing with Mimoun Azaouagh expected to play despite twisting his ankle in Friday's practice session.
Bielefeld will again be without first-choice goalkeeper Rowen Fernandez after he sustained a knee injury in his first training session back after recovering from a leg complaint.
Dennis Eilhoff, who has conceded eight goals in the first three matches, will again deputise in his place.
"It is my wish to keep a clean sheet this time out," Eilhoff said.
Bielefeld coach Michael Frontzeck is also hoping Germany Under-21 international Daniel Halfar will break out of his scoring slump and bag the first goal of the season.
"Miroslav Klose also had not scored in a long time and then he exploded for three goals," Fronzeck said.
Halfar is expected to partner Artur Wichniarek and Chris Katongo on attack.
