Hoffenheim have to beat one of the Bundesliga's most in-form goalkeepers this weekend if they are to take three points from Cologne.
Faryd Mondragon has had to pick the ball out of the back of the net just 11 times this season, contributing in a large way to keeping his club's head above water at the foot of the table, particularly since his team has only scored seven goals.
Yet the 38-year-old Colombian's career could be coming to an end. His contract expires in the summer and he has yet to receive an offer to extend it.
However, he is not yet ready to think about what happens in May as he looks to keep another clean sheet on Saturday.
"We are all currently concentrating on our next game," he told the club's matchday magazine.
"Obviously I am feeling very good at the moment and my team, particularly our defenders, are helping me a lot.
"They make my job a great deal easier and I don't know if I am in the form of my life, but I think that my age and the experience that brings are playing a major role.
"I am very happy here and I think the club is happy with me too. I would be the happiest man on earth if I could end my career here."
Hoffenheim coach Ralf Rangnick has done his homework on Mondragon and the rest of Saturday's opponents and knows there is only one way to beat them.
And he is therefore preparing for a scrap at the Mungersdorfer Stadion.
"The quality level of the game is secondary," he said.
"All that matters is that we get three points."
Rangnick welcomes midfielder Carlos Eduardo back from his debut appearance in the Brazil national team while Tobias Weis is returning to full fitness and is also an option, should one of Hoffenheim's numerous international players be tired.
Cologne striker Lukas Podolski will be hoping to finally convert his national team form into goals for his club.
He was on target twice in Germany's 2-2 draw with the Ivory Coast on Wednesday but has scored only one all season for Cologne.
