AZ Alkmaar midfielder David Mendes da Silva has been forced out of the Holland squad through injury.
Mendes da Silva is struggling with a hamstring problem he picked up in AZ's 1-1 draw with Feyenoord on Sunday, the Eredivisie club confirmed.
Van Marwijk had called up the 27-year-old as a late replacement for Demy de Zeeuw, who will have an operation on his throat this week.
Holland take on world champions Italy in Pescara on November 14 before hosting Paraguay in Heerenveen four days later.
