AZ Alkmaar scored three times in the last 20 minutes to complete a rollercoaster win over Roda JC.
The visitors went in front after just three minutes but found themselves 2-1 down after a spirited Roda fightback.
But Rasmus Elm, Jeremain Lens and Jonathas all found the net late on before Jonathas was sent off in the last minute.
It was Lens who opened the scoring with the first chance of the match, collecting a cross from Niklas Moisander before hammering a long-range shot into the bottom corner.
Roda took time to recover from that early setback but got back on level terms after 27 minutes.
Marcel De Jong's cross was headed home by Pa Moudou Kah with goalkeeper Sergio Romero having left his line in a vain attempt to intercept.
Jeanvion Yulu Matondo twice came close to putting the home side in front, one header flashing narrowly wide and the other well saved by Romero.
Roda eventually did go ahead in the 53rd minute when Romero fumbled a shot from Mads Junker and Yulu Matondo headed into the empty net.
But AZ got back on level terms after 70 minutes as Elm collected a cross from Pontus Wernbloom and fired into the bottom corner from eight yards.
And just four minutes later Roda's hopes of clinging on for at least a point evaporated when Lens made it 3-2 to the visitors with a cool finish.
Jonathas then made it three goals in 10 second-half minutes with Wernbloom again the provider, his cross from the right being turned in from close range.
There was still time for Jonathas to pick up two bookings, the second for an apparent elbow on Kew Jaliens which brought a red card.
