Sessegnon joined the Baggies in a club-record deal from the Black Cats on transfer deadline day but was not granted a work permit before last weekend's 1-1 draw at Fulham.

He is available for the visit of Paolo Di Canio's side and says he will be treating them like any other opponents as he targets a victory to lift West Brom out of the bottom two.

"I respect Sunderland because I played the last two seasons there," Sessegnon told his new club's official website.

"Now my mind is on West Brom and, if I play, all I'm focused on is getting a result for West Brom.

"Training has been good and I've really enjoyed my first week or so at the club. I've been impressed by what I've seen from my new team-mates.

"This game is important not just for me but the team because we need the win.

"Last weekend was frustrating for me. Now I just want to play football - and I can't wait for the game tomorrow."

Sessegnon, who netted in both Sunderland's games against West Brom last season, is determined to make an impact for his new club.

"I remember scoring in the games but now I want to score for West Brom," he said. "I hope I can add more to the attack and score and create goals."

Sessegnon also revealed that his former Paris St Germain team-mate Youssouf Mulumbu helped persuade him to come to The Hawthorns.

"I knew West Brom is a good team that likes to play football," he said.

"I know Mulumbu and Nicolas Anelka are good players.

"Mulumbu told me I would enjoy it here because we have good players and the head coach likes to play football."

think that puts all doubts over Benteke's quality to bed. Can he do it after receiving the ball to feet, in the box, totally unmarked, on a warm, sunny afternoon in Swindon? Oh yes he can! This year is definitely Liverpool's year. YNWA.

ll very well selling all midfield and strikers but unless we bring anyone in that is better than what we had then it will be a terrible transfer window in my view. Sorted out the defense but our midfield and striker options look very light.

ove it when Jose accuses others of being defensive, cynical and playing to win. If I was Wenger, I'd get that quote laminated and framed - surely the biggest compliment he's ever received from Mourinho. You've got him riled Arsene - you're relevant again!
