Turkish giants eye Larsson

Sky Sports understands Turkey's biggest clubs are battling to sign Sunderland star Sebastian Larsson, who looks set to depart England this summer.

The 28-year-old Swedish international is out of contract in the summer, and talks with Sunderland have been put on hold whilst their Premier League fate is decided.

The Black Cats are understood to have held talks with Larsson's representatives in recent months, whilst a number of rival top-flight clubs have also been keeping tabs on his situation.

However, Sky Sports understands that Larsson is ready to consider quitting the Premier League for the first time in his professional career - having spent time with Arsenal and Birmingham before moving to Sunderland in 2011.

It is understood champions-elect Fenerbahce, Besiktas, Galatasaray and Bursaspor have all made contact about the Swede.
