The Welsh club lost narrowly at defending Premier League champions Manchester City last weekend before defeating Liverpool at Anfield on Wednesday in the Capital One Cup.

Swansea then came from a goal down to draw with kings of Europe Chelsea on Saturday as Pablo Hernandez's late equaliser cancelled out Victor Moses' header.

And boss Laudrup told Sky Sports when asked about the past week: "Very good, very important.

"The champions last Saturday, Liverpool at Anfield and then the European champions today. I think it was three really good performances."

Summer signing Hernandez was joined by the likes of fellow new arrival Ki Sung-Yueng in delivering an excellent performance against Chelsea.

And Laudrup, who succeeded Brendan Rodgers in the close-season, is pleased his new boys are beginning to make an impact.

"It is great," he said "You know when people, especially foreigners, come in, they need some time to adapt, because it is another way of football and another culture.

"I am very pleased for the new players and even more pleased for the team and the club, because it has been an important week.

"There is a lot to be proud of if you are a fan of us."
