m starting to think Roman may never actually be happy at the top level. If he wants all conquering fancy football I wonder if he'd be better off buying a lower division side then paying outlandish salaries to attract high caliber players too good for the division.
afa has to be favourite for the Everton job now, surely :) He'll realise his ambition to live and work on Merseyside again, get the best out of whoever plays for them, maybe win some cups and be thoroughly loathed by the toffee fans. What's not to like? Go ead, Ken, gimajob!

Sorry Leon. You won't get in the England team by constantly finding teammates through passing the ball. You need to give the ball away cheaply, or run from box-to box, rarely influencing the game. Proving to be more accurate than Iniesta is not of interest to this country. Just ask Jordan Henderson.

Leon is a superb fulcrum in a patient ball-playing team. He doesn't stand out to the casual observer because he doesn't play many 'Hollywood' balls or score goals. He is simply a vital member of a team that is more than the sum of it's parts. Therefore he's of no interest to England or a manager like Hodgson, irrespective of age.

The irony is that if he did actually get a call-up for England it would be the rest of us that give up all hope.
