The Swans' league form has dipped since winning the Capital One Cup in February, with no wins in their last six games.

Despite the recent poor run, Michael Laudrup's side have stayed in the top half of the table but they face a tough end to the season, with upcoming games against deposed champions Manchester City, relegation-battling Wigan and title winners Manchester United.

"When we play against the best players and teams in the league, we have to grow up. We have done that at times this year," said the 24-year-old South Korean.

"Even if we have lost games, we have dominated parts of matches and we have learned a lot from the experiences.

"We have Man City and Man United coming up so they are tough games.

"We've been disappointed we haven't won some games, but as players we still have the desire to do so."

Ki, who has made nearly 40 appearances for the Swans since joining from Celtic last August, is adamant that the squad's desire has been just as strong since they secured the club's first major trophy with an emphatic 5-0 win over Bradford City.

He added: "Just because we have won the League Cup and reached 40 points in the league, it does not mean that the pressure is off us. As players we still want to win matches."

t's a bloody good goal, though. Sh!t, the kid's gonna be the worlds best before we know it, isn't he? He's got the touch of genius in him. Like Neymar, but with muscles and stuff. He's doing a Ronaldo as we watch. He's bulked up to be able to ride the tackles, but he's improved technically as well. His touch is sublime. Bugger.
