The 26-year-old Dutch midfielder is currently under contract at his parent club Villarreal until 2016, but any move would depend on how much the Swans would be willing to pay for him.

The Spanish side would reportedly be keen to recoup some of the £7million they paid to sign him in August 2011 from Mallorca.

But De Guzman is happy with life in south Wales and is determined to remain with Swansea for the long term.

"For the last three years I've been moving on each season," he told the Daily Star.

"This is the first season I've stayed with the same team, so we'll see what happens at the end of the season.

"It's probably been the turning point coming here. I am getting minutes on the pitch again and playing on a great stage in the Premier League. Then in February I got the call up for the national team."
