Ki joined Sunderland before the close of the summer transfer window and has impressed for Gus Poyet's side in recent weeks.

The midfielder scored the winner against Chelsea in the quarter-finals of the Capital One Cup and scored the only goal of the game from the penalty spot away to Everton on Boxing Day.

The South Korea international was on target again on Saturday in Sunderland's 4-1 win at Fulham which lifted Gus Poyet's side off the bottom of the table.

However, reports have claimed that Swansea could recall Ki to the Liberty Stadium this month in light of an injury crisis in Laudrup's squad.

Jose Canas was forced off in the 2-0 defeat at Manchester United to become the ninth first-team player currently unavailable to Laudrup.

The Swans boss, though, does not believe that it would be the right decision to cut short Ki's season-long stint at Sunderland.

"There is a possibility to bring him back but I don't think it is a good idea," said the Dane.

"Ki feels comfortable where he is now. If we take him back, he would not play every game. Mentally, it would be very bad for him."

hould have stayed because we carried him for 6.5 years. And then he has a breakthrough season, and was gone soon after. MU fans, you would be as disgusted had C Ronaldo left in 2007 and not 2009.

ood grief. Someone guessed that the form English player at the moment might be in his national side with some other players? And that's espionage? Now if they discovered that Emile Heskey was going to be in the starting line up.... at right back.... THAT would be espionage. Give it a rest Roy.
