Both men are blessed with physical attributes which make them a nightmare for opposition defences.
Drogba terrorised Premier League back fours for eight years during a productive spell at Chelsea, and Bony is now doing the same after completing a switch from Vitesse Arnhem last summer.
Another goal in midweek, in a 2-2 draw at Arsenal, has taken his tally for the season on to 20 in all competitions, and Monk is backing the 25-year-old to make a big impact in British football.
He said: "Wilfried can definitely have the same impact as Drogba.
"I think he has shown that - and with Michu back now, they will both want to be the top dog and get goals for us.
"He is a real strong lad. He dislocated my finger on the first day in training. I went to push off him and my finger just snapped. It was left dropping down. He is solid."
Monk is also of the opinion that Bony can shine at this summer's World Cup, with it possible that Swansea could have two goal-getters on show in Brazil.
He added: "Wilfried could be one of the stars.
"The same goes for Michu. It only takes one injury in the Spanish squad and he could be involved."
