The Dutch international is in his second season on loan at the Liberty Stadium from Villarreal, and Swansea have declared an interest in signing him on a permanent deal.

The 26-year-old says he does not know what is happening with his future, but insisted he was more than happy.

"I have let everyone know I am happy here, so let's see what happens," he said.

"They are great people, great players and a great club. I suppose I am all smiles."

The 26-year-old is battling for a place in Holland's World Cup squad, although he has missed out in recent months after being left out by Louis van Gaal.

"I'm trying my best and trying to get that spot," he said.

"I was left out of the last squad but, hopefully, this sort of form will help.

"The coach told me I'm not forgotten but I know things haven't been going well at Swansea.

"We haven't spoken about it, I just have to let my feet do the talking. It's hard not to have it in your mind.

"Everyone's reminding me, family and friends, everyone wants me to be out there. Hopefully, I will achieve that."

De Guzman also gave his backing to rookie boss Garry Monk to get the job on a long-term basis and said: "Everyone respects him. I met him last year as a player, so it's funny he's my coach now.

"However, he knows the club well, having been here for 10 years and is well respected by everyone."

ah, Fergie is just having another pop at Rooney. He just wants to put him down whenever he gets a chance. Rooney is by far the best English player. Carrick is not far behind, mind. However, by elevating Carrick like that, Sir is having a dig at Wayne. Fergie is well-known for mind games like that. Good to see he's still feisty.
