Long-serving midfielder Britton and summer signing Emnes are both struggling with knee problems and are facing a few weeks on the sidelines.

Swansea revealed Britton is suffering from a badly bruised bone in his knee, while Emnes has a meniscal (cartilage) problem.

Britton and Emnes are set to undergo further scans on their injuries next month to find out how long the pair will be sidelined for.

The duo missed Sunday's pre-season 4-0 win over Plymouth Argyle and the club expect them to miss the big Premier League kick-off against Manchester United on August 16.
